Iowa St. player is charged - Charleston Daily Mail

AMES, Iowa - An Iowa State basketball player was charged withpublic intoxication and simple assault after police were called to afast-food restaurant.

Travis Spivey, 20, is a sophomore transfer from Georgia Tech whois sitting out this season.

Police were called to a Hardee's restaurant in downtown Amesshortly before 2:30 a.m. Thursday.Hardee's district manager Bill Gilbert said Spivey and four othermen were being disorderly at the restaurant.
